Bull Shoals tailwater - October 6-8 2006
Posted by David BolinHere are a few pictures from the upper section of the Bull Shoals tail water on the White river. Went up for the conclave and fishing. The fishing was great. Fished below the Bull Shoals dam for a couple days. The flat water immediately below the dam produced several cuts, bows and a couple brookies. They were hitting a dark olive number 20 yong specials with a gold bead strung on 6x below an idicator about 6 to 8 inches. The best action was with no generation but 1 unit still produced a few fish.
Also fished with Jimmy Traylor (guide) and Mike Davis (maddog48) chasing big browns. We spotted several 36+ inch fish and lots in the 20 to 30 inch class. Only hooked up on one. It might have been a 20 inch fish. Broke off in the fast water behind the boat. Had a great day hunting big browns from White Hole to Cane Island.
