Dutch Oven Cookout - Pasta Recipe

Had a Dutch oven gathering at the Taylor's this afternoon. Here's a link to the photo album.

I've had several requests for the pasta recipe. Here's the latest version of it:

3 bell peppers
2 medium sized vidalia onions
2 zucchini
A hand full of mushrooms
mozzarella cheese
16ozs of penne pasta
4 links of Italian sausage
1 bag of fajita chicken
A quart of your favorite pasta sauce (I like tomato and garlic...the thick stuff).

Pre-cook the penne pasta. Cut up the vegetables and cook them down in a 10 inch oven. While the vegetables are cooking, fire up a deep 12 and cook the Italian sausage. Cut up the sausage when its done and add the chicken and pasta sauce. Let it heat up for a little while and then add the cooked vegetables and penne pasta. Stir it up and spread the cheese on top. Use a little heat on the bottom, like maybe 6 coals and lay the heat to the top, like about 20 coals. Cook till the cheese is brown and bubbly.

This would probably serve about a dozen.
