Cabins in Mountian View, Arkansas
Posted by David BolinMom and Dad are building cabins in the Mountain View area and renting them until they're sold. Dad's is a semi retired contractor (works 6 instead of 7 days a week) and has been building cabins sorta like a hobby. I suppose it's like building fly rods...only a lot bigger.
The cabins are located in or within walking distance of hunting and fishing destinations in Stone County. They're rustic but not deer camp rustic. If you're not familiar with Mountain View, just Google it. MV is located in the foothills of the Ozarks. The Ozark National Forrest, White river and Blanchard Springs Caverns are just a few miles from downtown MV. Downtown is the gathering point for the "folk music capital of the world" (Mom told me to be sure to mention that). Seriously...several impromptu folk music groups gather around the court square every Friday and Saturday night when the weather is good (every day of the week during the summer and fall). It's a lawn chair thing on the court square. Just take your lawn chair, sit and listen...or sing along if you're so inclined. For the rod makers that might be reading this...the infamous "MD" now resides in Mountain View and carries a fiddle around instead of a fly rod.
Mom and Dad have three cabins for sale or rent this winter. I've posted pictures of two of them in my photo albums (Sara 4 and Sara 5). If you're interested in renting or buying a cabin contact Mom at sarahbolin@mvtel.net.
