Time to renew
Posted by David BolinIt's that time of year again. Time to renew annual rodmaking subscriptions and make a few contributions. I do this once a year in January so I don't forget about it. There are some folks in the rodmaking community that have carried the torch for a long time. I would hate to loose one of them while times are hard.
I'm concerned about the US economy and the impact it will have around the world if it doesn't recover. Unfortunately, US jobs have become trading cards in a game that only benefits the political class. Everyone else looses in the long run. I'm sure there are folks in the rodmaking community that are struggling. For them, rodmaking probably shouldn't be a priority until times are better. But for those of us that can, I hope we will continue to support the folks that have promoted the craft for so many years. So here's a few that are on my personal list.
The Planing Form
Power Fibers
Bamboo Rodmaking Tips
And if you haven't purchased a copy of The Lovely Reed, now might be a good time to get it done. It's just a rodmaking book. A very good one. But we've already seen what happens to the price when a good book is out of circulation. Here's the link to the order form:
The Lovely Reed
I have no financial interest in any of this. I just want to support the folks that are helping me learn the craft.
