Christmas Day

What better way to top off a merry Christmas day than to set something on fire. Actually, this may be what I like most about rod making. This was the first time I've flamed the inside of a culm. It was a lot more fun that flaming the enamel side...much bigger flames! I hope to make a couple blond rods with this culm with all the benefits of flaming from the inside out. Did a little splitting too. That was a mess with all the chared pith. By the way, I've heard enough wise about the pink garage door. Pink was all they had when I bought the insulation for that door. Besides, only a real man could work in a shop with a pink wall.
